Privacy Notice

What we collect, why, who we share it with, and the rights you hold over your data.

1. Data controller

Maqron is the data controller for personal data processed through Maqron and decides why and how it is processed. Contact: support@maqron.com.

2. Data we collect and why

• Account data (email and sign-in details) — to create and secure your account. Basis: contract.
• Business data (objectives, drafts, tasks, directives, operator messages, usage and credit records) — to provide the service. Basis: contract.
• Purchase data (subscription and credit purchase records, transaction IDs) — to verify payment and provide what you bought. Basis: contract and legal obligation.
• Technical data (IP address, device, browser, logs) — for security, fraud prevention and reliability. Basis: legitimate interests.
• Support messages — to answer you. Basis: legitimate interests.

3. Sharing

• Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of Maqron Pro and usage credits, subscription management, payments, tax compliance, invoicing and refunds.
• Service providers that host the service and run AI processing on our behalf under data processing terms.
• Professional advisers (legal, accounting).
• Authorities where required by law.

We do not sell personal data.

4. International transfers

Providers may process data outside the UK/EEA. Where they do, we rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. Retention

Account and business data are kept while your account is active and deleted within 30 days of closure. Purchase records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires. Logs are kept for a limited period. Data is then deleted or anonymised.

6. Security

We use encryption in transit, per-account access controls, signed payment verification and restricted access to production systems.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may access, correct, erase, restrict or port your data, object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Email support@maqron.com; we respond within one month. You may also complain to your data protection authority.

8. Cookies

We only use essential storage needed for sign-in and checkout. See the Cookie Notice.

9. Changes

We will post updates here with a new effective date.
